Dr. Brooks began his public school education career in 2000 as a classroom teacher. In 2008, he obtained his first assistant principal position with Fort Bend ISD. He continued his career serving as a campus Administrator for Sealy ISD, Manor ISD and Wharton ISD, until 2016. Ultimately, he was promoted twice during his tenure at Manor ISD; serving as the Executive Director of Student Services and Safety, and serving as the Executive Director of Secondary Education. In 2018, he joined Sheldon ISD and was the principal at C.E. King High School, eventually he spearheaded the opening of the new C.E. King (state of the art) High School, serving as principal at every level. After accomplishing that opening, Sheldon ISD promoted Dr. Brooks as their Executive Director of Secondary Education, and eventually he was promoted as the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.
Dr. Brooks earned his BBA in Economics from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1999. In 2003, he went back to Stephen F. Austin to gain his Master’s in Educational Leadership. His desire to complete his education at the highest level Dr. Brooks went to the University of Houston to receive his Doctorate in Education & Supervision.
On a personal note; Dr. Brooks is married to his wonderful wife Brandi, who is also an educator! They have two amazing children, Kynedi and Jackson.
