Updated Graduation Plan Announcement

Posted Date: 05/11/2020

Class of 2020 Students and Parents,

I have received many emails with concerns that we will not be having a traditional graduation.  I have heard your concerns and met with the High School Administration.

We will continue with the Virtual Graduation plans.  This will now be our backup plan.  We are going to continue to make the video to be played on May 22nd at 8:00 p.m.

We are planning an in-person/ traditional style graduation ceremony for Friday, June 12th at 8:00 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium.  In the event of rain, we will have the ceremonies on Saturday, June 13th at 9:00 a.m. at Bulldog Stadium.

Please understand that we will work to develop a plan that will be acceptable to state, county, and local authorities.  There will be limited seating, and each graduate will receive a set number of tickets for friends and family to attend.  We will be sending out information about the procedures and policies for the graduation ceremony in the near future.

These plans to have a traditional ceremony will rest solely on the fact that they must be approved by state, county, and local authorities.  We are working to provide you with a true graduation ceremony that you have earned.  Thank you for your patience as we work to develop a plan that will keep our students and their families safe while celebrating your accomplishments in an appropriate manner.

Sincerely,

Richard A. Cooper

Superintendent
