The High School and Jr High Cross Country runners competed in the Hudson Invitational Saturday that featured over 500 runners from 20 Schools throughout the area.
Natalie Farfan had another outstanding performance in the Girls Middle School division finishing in 8th place out of 109 runners while improving on her 1.5 mile run time.
Richard Thomas and Javier Gallegos were the top performers for the Varsity Boys in the 5K as both runners had top 25 finishes in a race that featured 110 runners who are some of the best Cross Country and Track distance runners in the state.
In the Varsity Girls Division, Lizet Soto and Nazeli Hidalgo both had a good day and were also able to improve on their 2 mile run time on a course that presented challenges in certain area. Both girls were able to overcome them and compete at a high level.
The teams will be off this week before traveling to Lufkin for the Coke Invitational on October 9th and the District Cross County meet on October 16th at Lake Tejas.
