Welcome to Corrigan-Camden Elementary PE / Health!
My name is Karie Goodwin and I would like to welcome your student to our Corrigan-Camden Elementary physical education program. I have high expectations for our students and I expect every child to participate in p.e. with their best attitude and effort. Students will attend p.e. four times a week. Throughout the year they will learn the following: physical fitness concepts, fundamental movements, rhythmic movements, lead-up skills and games, health and nutrition, and lifetime sports and activities.
Grades and Attendance
Attendance and participation will be graded. Absenteeism could lower your child’s p.e. grade. Students will be graded on effort, attitude and conduct, and participation of activities.
Students must wear the proper clothing for p.e. on their scheduled day. The standardized dress policy requires students to wear tennis shoes / sneakers. Shoes must have a closed toe and heel. BOOTS are also NOT permitted. Girls must wear shorts under their skirts or dresses.
All students are required to take physical education. Any student, who is not able to participate for more than two days, must have a written excuse from a doctor. Non-participation for less than two days will be excused by a parent note explaining the circumstances.
PLEASE NOTIFY ME OF ANY MEDICAL RESTRICTIONS THAT MAY AFFECT YOUR CHILD’S PARTICIPATION IN P.E. IMMEDIATELY.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com or at 936-398-2341. Thank you for your support and have a wonderful year!
